Video — Mary, Did You Know? (Petatonix)

Mary, Did You Know? is a Christmas song written in 1991. It has become a popular song for artists to cover. Maybe the best version so far is the one recorded this year by Pentatonix, a popular YouTube artist. Enjoy the video again. I have included the lyrics below the video.

Merry Christmas!

Mary, did you know that your baby boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know that your baby boy would give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

The blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the mute will speak, the praises of the Lamb.

Mary, did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?

This sleeping child you're holding is the great I AM.

Angels We Have Heard on High
(The Piano Guys)

Now that Thanksgiving is finished, we can listen to Christmas music! This is a classic Christmas song with a twist by the Piano Guys. They use many GoPro cameras and a drone (indoors!).

Enjoy it again (except for the 3rd period class. We didn't have time during the class, so enjoy it for the first time!).

Video – Bring Him Home (cover by the Piano Guys)

Les Miserable is one of the great novels written. It has a message of hope without hiding the pain of reality. I highly recommend you read it. It has been made into a musical and reproduced many times. More recently, it was made into a movie (there are older movies as well). The movie does a wonderful job of reproducing the musical. I also recommend that to you. The following is an arrangement by the Piano Guys. Enjoy!

I found a better video than the one I showed in class. You can watch it below.

Video – If You Fall (JJ Heller)

This is a beautiful song about love. It's different from the typical love song in that the lyrics don't focus on how the beloved makes her feel, but on her commitment to love the beloved no matter what. Enjoy watching it again. The lyrics are included below.

If You Fall – performed by JJ Heller
You are a house that's broken down
You are a house that's burning
And everything in me wants to run
But that's not love

If you fall, I fall with you
If you hurt I feel it too
Even if my heart turns black and blue
I will love you

I planted seeds down in the ground
Not every one is growing
When I am tempted to give up
I choose love

If you fall, I fall with you
If you hurt I feel it too
Even if my heart turns black and blue
I will love you

Beauty and light will fight for you
Goodness will rise
It shines for you

If you fall, I fall with you
If you hurt I feel it too
Even if my heart turns black and blue

If you fall, I fall with you
If you hurt I feel it too
Even if my heart turns black and blue
I will love you
I will love you
